Grass or Turf - the kids choice

There's an ongoing discussion in the crazy parents section and I thought I'd like to hear from the ones actually playing the game these days
So, what do you kids prefer?  Grass or Turf? Is there a season that fits both? Does it matter to you at all?  If so, why does it matter?

Most all of you have gotten over the thrill of the turf field experience as you practice on and play games on it more and more.  So, from a 'playing' point of view, what's your choice?  Check the poll options above and lets see how close the parents thinking is to you, the players!

grass in summer and then turf!!  The spokane grass has goose poop in the winter and it is frozen..ew..

To me it does not really matter although I like the grass more!!!

Welli like turf because it is good all year round but when it is all hot outside it is painfull

well from a keepers point of view grass sucks. you always have to watch the bounce when it rains there is dips in the goal. you some times have mud puddles in there. and whens its freezing cold it feels like you are diving on concrete cause the mud hardens. Turf on the other had is alot better ecept for the fact that when it rains the water sticks to the field and you get soaking wet. turf pieces get stuck to the ball and gets in your eye. In summer the grass kinda smells the turf smells like burned out tires. lol but other then that turf is not that bad i like it better then grass though. when i play on grass i get grass stains i am not a fan of those. but when i dive in mud that i can. who doesnt like to get down and dirty. boys arent the only ones

i LOVE grass in the summer but then i like turf in the winter cause it gets really hard to play in mud and stuff, but i love the mud! haha
if there was a good grass field i would prefer it way over turf

well if the grass is in a different state other then washington maybe hawaii i would preferr grass and when i went i did not see a turf field

I like grass better because the ball picks up better, you can get a better touch than on turf. Also, my biggest annoyance with turf is that it's slippery and hard to grip with, and you end up with uncomfortable rubber bits stuck in your cleats the rest of the game!
But muddy grass is the worst to play on  But i'd rather play on grass over turf!

ok i can say that both grass and truf suck. i taking a goal kick in mud and i slipped it was 30 that morning. and today i played on turf and i have a burn on the side of my left thigh. and you dont slip on turf when you wear cleats just sayin. and after a game on grass you smell like grass. i hate the smell of grass after a game. my dads car smelled like grass all the time. now it smells lik turf

Well I have been playing on both turf and grass. If it is a nice day then grass is okay... But the smell... Turf, I think is much better because of how the game can be played. The ball just moves so much faster on turf then on grass. The grass is the worst if it muddy but you do lose some touch on turf. So I put my vote for grass in summer then turf.

I think that grass, and then turf in the winter because grass is really fun in the summer, until winter. The way the ball will roll across it, is better then the winter. In the winter the grass is all muddy, icy, and slick (not fun). In the summer I hate getting rug burns from the turf, sometimes it hurts so bad when sweat gets on it, which causes a stinging sensation. That's what I think...... yea.

i would die if i played in the tundra. Playing in frozen dirt isnt that bad.
