Yote paid for Christmas and then some last night for the week after Christmas at a ski resort, so yes I am hanging on for mega amounts of snow.  Yote could start off the new year in a real pssy mood if the slopes don't fill in.  The more the better tonight and then everybody get out of my way...Gosh I love the snow.  I am downtown, so I am sure no snow down here today.  I am betting Victory or somebody out on the peninsula will see it first.  Or maybe somebody up north like cheese.

NWN has it's "interclub Christmas" games all weekend!!  I hope we get at least some of them in!!  Then I was supposed to run the 12K's of Christmas fun run in Kirkland on Sunday morning.  Does it make me a bad person to hope it's not gonna happen? wink Maybe it will be the 12K sled instead.  I think if I try to run in the snow it would turn into "the 12hrs in the ER with skull fracture" Shocked

Yote, I of course been thinking of you ever since the forecast came out!!! Kiss Kiss

December 12, 2008

Latest Info: 24/7 on Q13 FOX First Forecast Channel (Comcast channel 116, digital channel 13-2)

The National Weather Service has canceled a
winter storm warning for the central Puget Sound region including
Seattle.
Forecasters say the storm blowing into the state Friday is
tracking farther north and there is no longer a threat of
widespread disruptive snow.
Only an inch or two of slushy snow is possible Friday night on
hills in the Puget Sound lowlands.
Forecasters also canceled a winter storm warning in the Port
Angeles area and a storm watch in the southwest interior.
Forecasters still expect 1 to 3 inches of snow by Saturday
morning in the northwest interior.

With the winter storm bearing down on Washington, the Transportation Department has closed Cayuse and Chinook passes and the North Cascades Highway.
Crews will evaluate the highways after weekend snow to decide whether they'll remain closed for the winter.
Heavy snow is forecast for all mountain passes Friday night and Saturday so drivers should be prepared.

The National Weather Service says below freezing temperatures will last until the middle of next week, so residents should take steps to protect pets and plants and to prevent pipes from freezing.

The following is a special weather statement from the National Weather Service on the storm moving into western Washington today and this weekend:

I went to pick up my son from WWU early due to the snow warnings.  They had some accumulation (very light though) around Lake Samish (just south of Bellingham).
None in B'ham though.

That was between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm.  Not sure what is there now
