DH (the New Yorker) decided it was time to go and get a snow shovel so he could de-ice the driveway properly.  Backed out of the garage, onto the driveway and couldn't even get into the street!!  Me and the kids laughed hysterically as we watched him drive back into the garage all of, I'd say...1 min. 30 secs. later!!  LOL!!

After the neighbors with ATVs did the necessary damage to the frozen top layer of snow, for some, the neighborhood is somewhat driveable.  Don't know about the main roads though.

He just callled and said the major road to our house is CLOSED!  Shocked
Either its Lakeland Hill ( if still open) or home by the windy back roads from Auburn for him to get home.
I MIGHT see him by 9 tonight

Eggy just had loads of fun. Neighbor guy with all the cool tools pulled a snow blower out of his shed. He let Eggy use it on his driveway. Snow was flying everywhere. I can now get out of the garage and make it to the road. Road is a no-go.

Hope more snow comes tomorrow so I can use the snow blower again Grin Grin Grin Grin

Okay. I understand the appeal of having a white Christmas. It's what's on all of the Hallmark cards, right? Christmas just wouldn't be the same without it. But you're still a moron.

I dont want you to make same idiotic mistake next year. So I am going to share a few *brilliant* ideas that will give you your white Christmas without freezing my ass off:

You can wish to win the lottery. With the money you can take a trip to the North Pole and then you can have all the snow you want. When you see Santa, can you tell him I tried really hard this year?

If traveling isnt for you, fear not! There are other ways of getting your snow. You can buy a huge ass snowcone maker and even have money to pay people to constantly cover your yard in snow! Imagine that! You can have snow year-round without forcing us to accept your crazed obsession with frozen rain!

So PLEASE consider other people's feelings before making any wishes that involve temperatures out of a sane person's comfort zone!

Had a foot on the ground this morning.  It's been snowing nonstop since noon - can't even tell where we have shoveled.  Couldn't get the door open to let the dogs out this morning (outward opening french doors), the snow was so deep they had a hard time taking care of business.

Could go out if we absolutely had to using 4 wheel drive, it's all down hill to Hwy 9, up hill to get back in - not worth it. If it keeps snowing at this pace overnight we'll be stuck.

I was able to get out.. but it wasn't an easy drive to the store.  Started snowing hard... came home again!  Side streets get no plowing, main road to the freeway gets a little plowing and a light dusting of sand.. which does NOTHING!!!

Definitely think tomorrow is another work from home day!

OK Guys -- What a beautiful day.  Got up and the dog and I shoveled three of the neighbors (elderlies) driveways and then ours.  Fun Fun..got a good sweat going for sure.  Then a little ATVing in the neighborhood.  Those things can do some awesome three sixties.  Then had to take the daughter down to work.  Then to the store and off to picking up 7 of our girls from last years team for a team party at one of our parents house.  Great time, white elephant gifts etc.  Learned all about the first quarters at WSU, UW (we missed you Alicia), Western, Eastern, Central and BCC.  Then drove everybody home, went to pick up the son who had been sledding all day and just got home to watch the Seahawks game on DVR.  Perfect day.  Did I tell anybody that I just love the snow and my car is awesome in this stuff. Cool

Didn't lose power in Enumclaw like they promised.    But still snowing.  shoveled the walk for no reason.  Just got covered up.  Having my nightly warm up and watching the daughter with a few boys over.  Afraid I may need to drive them home.  The one who says he can drive is the winner?  Any advise?

I had to hitch up the snow plow and go across the burg to my business and plow a few streets today.  Not so bad.   Around here, the main streets are cleared fairly well, only one car in the ditch per every few miles at this point.   Neither Kennewick nor Richland are bothering to plow any but the primary roads, though.    Wifey refused to leave the house the entire weekend.

It is still snowing.  Probably have to use snow plow again tomorrow........

I feel sorry for the people in Spokane.  Is it up to 3 feet now?
