I know it is early - but I have seen some of these "top" poll teams play - and I am not so sure they will stay at the top. It is still early.

Here is the link: http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/highschoolsports/websoccerrank.html

Pasco at #2?  I would say that is a fair assessment right now.
University at #3?  Wow, I would put them no higher than #8 at this point.

Hopefully we'll still be up there next week. We lost our last game, but completely dominated...probably the best we've played yet.  Timberline was given a crazy PK call in the last 2 minutes.  GO FP!!!  Grin

yay for my alma mater (#10) - I actually played on the team the very first year that they had a team.  What a year.  We were picked to finish last and ended up 2nd in our league and 1/2 game out of going to State (only one team went).  Oh the memories

Here is how it looks abut half-way through the season for the central PS area. I would like to hear from the Eastside, Tacoma and Olympia, Bellinham, MV and from the Vancouver area too:

Kingco 4A: Issaquah looks to be the top team - only one 1-0 loss to Inglemoor. Woodinville and Roosevelt also are strong.

SPSL 4A: Many good teams - hard to tell who is the top. Good teams include:

Kentridge, Tahoma, Auburn Riverside, TJ in the North
Beamer, Curtis and Rogers in the south

Wesco 4A North: Snohomish, MP and Lake Stevens
Wesco South 4A: Shorewood and Jackson

Wesco 3A: Shorecrest

SPSL 3A: White River

Kingco3A: MI

Metro 3A: Lakeside, Hale and Bainbridge

Seamount 3A: Mount Ranier, Kennedy and Highline

Camas is usually strong in 3A - but I have heard they are not as strong as in the past.

MV is also a strong 3A team from last year.

would like to hear more about Bellarmine - they were strong last year, Pasco and University.

White River is a strong team.  They outplayed us the first half, but I thought we outplayed them in the second. We only had one sub, who rotated with one of the forwards, so everyone else played the whole game.  With 3 minutes left, we could not clear a ball and they put one in from about 25 yards out Huh? game over  Sad

Sounds like a close game.  1-0 games decided atr the end could go either way on a rematch.

Anyone with any info on some of the other HS teams from EW, Tacoma, Olympia, north to Bellingham or from the Vancouver area?

this friday night Yelm (#7 3 A) plays Capital at ingersoll stadium (olympia High School)  This will be the test for Capital to see where they fit into the mix.  I think they have a very good shot at state but need to do a little fine tuning.  They pass and possess much better than any of the teams I have seen them play, even the ones they lost to, so with all that P1,P2 and academy talent, I am putting my money on Capital

yes, the Capital v Yelm game this Friday should be a good test for both teams.  My own impression in comparing their games against like opponents is that Yelm has performed better.  With the G brothers, JJ, JC and AC among others, the Tornadoes too have a ton of talent.  May come down to who brings their A game on Friday night, who gets the lucky bounce or who wants it more!  As to the SPSL - can't talk about your team 6D as I haven't seen them yet, but WR is the real deal.  Fast up front, good shape in the back and big and controlling in the mid.  Overall I've been impressed with the depth of talent and level of play in the SPSL.  Good teams, good coaches, good competition.  Oh, and as to the WCC that Yelm and CHS belong too, don't forget Timberline and North Thurston.  Both of them have winning records as well!  It promises to be a very competititve - if short - league season with some surprises along the way, I'm sure.
