Let's list the latest bad news for the "progressives" far left -

1)  Hackers in the UK showed 61 terabytes (?) of data from a leading UK university on the issue of Global Warming.   Whoops.  Information adn e-mails show a concerted effort to hide contrary data, to prevent nay-sayers from speaking up, and comprehensive, concerted, planned efforts to hide and distort data that went against the Holy Grail of Global Warming.

2)  Obama is sinking in the polls.

3)  The UK government is now blaming the Carter like indecisiveness of Obama on accumulating deaths of Briish Soldiers in Afghanistan.

4)  Obama is falling steadily in all national polls.  But he will never sink as low as the Democratic Congress.

5)  Obama's Acorn is caught in illegal dumping of files and data in California and Oklahoma.   This is after offices in four states and the District of Columbia were caught in illegal behavior.  That is besides the convictions of Acorn and its officers for illegalities concerning elections in Nevada and Washington State.
And Acorn was supposed to be the core of the new Progressive Action Force nationwide, subsidized by Federal tax money.

6)  May Lanfrieu, the Louisiana Senator, has admitted that the only reason she voted to allow the Senate version of the National Health Care System to come to the floor of the Senate was because she got an extra $300 million for her own state.  Louisiana has a history of respecting that type of chutzpah, and she is up for election soon.

7)   The Obama administration is now going to bring admitted terrorists to the US for civil trials, giving them a podium to speak their screed of hatred to the world once again.   And then they will end up either in US prisons or out on the street here in America.  And US intelligence gathering methods will have to be exposed in open court.......

Cool  Obama had an Afghanistan plan a year and a half ago, before the election.  He had an Afghan plan a year ago, at the election.  He had an Afghan plan six months ago.   Now, once his generals make a recommendation - along the lines of what he once promoted - all of a sudden he has no plan, no idea, and let's American (and European) soldiers die while the campaign is in limbo.

9) Both the Fox News shows and the Fox Talk shows are running at a multiple of the rest of the cable "news" networks are.

10) Obama is bowing to every head of state he meets outside of Europe.   An abrupt and puzzling departure from EVERY OTHER PRESIDENT THAT THE USA HAS EVER HAD.  EVEN THE WASTE OF SPACE JIMMY CARTER NEVER BOWED TO A FOREIGN HEAD OF STATE!!!  (although he does go on his knees now to every anti-American one.....)

11)  The regulatory proclmations that the Dem's have issued are slowing coming to light about how they are hamstringing America economically.

12)  There are another 20 points, put I will leave those for later.

>>>I guess your not a fan of Jon Stewart are you?<<<

I enjoy his show, he is funny.  Certainly leans to the left, but once that is understood, fine.   But he is not ABC/CBS/NBC.   He does get more viewers than CNN or PMSNBC, though.

Let's list the latest bad news for the "progressives" far left -

The danger is that none of this is bad news unless the left cares about public opinion. There are good arguments that they only care as much as it doesn't impact their personal self-interest or desires to socialize America, or their position within the Democrat Socialist Party that has now replaced the Democratic Party in America.

As long as the Dems have the votes, we are a Constitutional Republic held hostage, and virtually powerless to stop Obama and his radicals. With the EPA declaring CO2 a pollutant today, Cass Sunstein can now regulate virtually anything the radical left wants. And despite ClimageGate confirming what anyone paying attention has known for years of the largest fraud ever perpetrated on mankind, Obama will sell us out to the global interests at his first opportunity.

Assuming that there are no patriotic Americans in government who are Democrats, this nation's only hope is that selfish interests will prevent enough Democrats from a suicide pact that America may survive the next 13 months. If we can get to the sitting of the next Congress in January 2011 and America is still America, we may have a country to hand our children. 13 months is a very long time when you consider the destruction Obama has caused already.

Ok, I always try to follow the money. Exactly who is funding the great climate scam? You know, what is the motivation for all of these scientists to engage in a hoax. (I want to see what the buildings full of high paid marketing folks who work for the fossil fuel industry are feeding you.  wink Remember the Tobacco Institute?

The government funding of scientific grants is what is fueling the "Great Climate Scam".  Follow the money.
Just as the public(ity) furor took money away from more dangerous illnesses and diverted it towards AIDS, the Climate Scammers are sucking up the funding that would be going elsewhere.  And they will go to great lengths to protect the flow of money.

Besides, their entire reputations are now riding on the theory of Global Warming.   If they are exposed, instead of Penn State they will be teaching at State Pen.

You are kidding right? Wait, you aren't in the fossil fuel industry are you? So I guess it's not just our govt. that the scientists are scamming but its a collaboration of scientists all over the world to perpetuate a hoax so they can get govt. grants to pay themselves their $70k a year to ultimately be proven frauds?

I have no connection at all to oil companies or any "fossil fuel" operation.   Heck, I actually have a relative (in-law) who is growing something for a local biofuel operation.  I did work in the nuclear industry for a while, but that is as far from "fossil fuels" as you can get.

And if you think that all these scientists get is $70,000 a year, think again.

And nicotine is addictive.  Very much so.  Trust me on that one.

$70k? Funny!

"Consider the case of Phil Jones, the director of the CRU and the man at the heart of climategate. According to one of the documents leaked from his center, between 2000 and 2006 Mr. Jones was the recipient (or co-recipient) of some $19 million worth of research grants, a sixfold increase over what he'd been awarded in the 1990s."

C'mon folks. I can do better than this hogwash. What about the nascent solar and geothermal industries? Surely they are in on the hoax as well as the entire alternative energy cabal. Just keep on eating what papa fossil fuels feeds you.  I can see the same argument being made if the scientists were claiming that the world was round and that we could sail around it. Bullsh*&*^te you say, in defense of the church and traders running the land routes. It's all just scientists trying to raise grants.

And, I really hope you are right since the fossil fuel industry has such a hold on our political process via the current campaign finance and lobbying laws that the only difference between the two so called parties is lip service (at best) by the dems and outright scorn by the reps. Thus, nothing will be done. But, please don't be blathering on about your grand kids being saddled with debt when you are willing to shill for big oil and risk total catastrophe so you can drive your suvs today. drinks

The solar and wind energy industries are only alive because of government subsidies.  PERIOD.   Don't believe me, look it up.  Geothermal is so miniscule, and will be for the practical future, that it is meaningless in the larger scheme of things, the process of providing energy to this country.

And while I am endeared about your trying to tar me with "fossil fuels", I am on record as being an advocate of nuclear energy and also of natural gas, the cleanest of "fossil fuels" and the best alternative to oil powered automobiles.

I am all for a clean planet, but I don't agree mandating that we do this or that because "we think" humans are the cause of global warming is right, especially if it is going to kill our economy or people for that matter. Those of us who have studied global warming know that the most dangerous greenhouse gas is water vapor, yet we hear all this talk about CO2. We are now begginning to hear more about methane, so are you ready to give up your steak or be taxed? To me this is all conspiracy and a way to tax more people, so that politicians and their friends can spend more. When PETA asked Gore if he would stop eating meat since it is more of a danger than CO2, he was not quite ready to do that. This from the Climate Change leader? What a hypocrite!

Here is what the IPCC has become along with many other people:"Fedor Dostoevsky`A man who lies to himself, and believes his own lies, becomes unable to recognize truth, either in himself or in anyone else. Is this really science?

There are other Periods in history where CO2 was much higher yet we had glaciation although I am not 100% sure that CO2 was not the cause of it. Having said that, I am not ready to just assume that CO2 was the cause of global warming, which then created glaciation therefore we should kill all our economies right away. No I prefer we slowly continue educating the public on the importance of a clean planet, continue to master the technology of clean energy, make it affordable for people to purchase the technology (including developing countries) and so forth instead of creating laws, taxing, fining,  lying, etc.

Finally, I think you are correct that this is all about politics and power, whether from the fossil fuel industry or those who want to create control of the World by controlling energy or limiting the type of energy we can use. It is all politics from the right and the left.

That's more like it. World domination through alternative energy.

That's ok, we will take it slow. While you folks are buying the fossil fuel swill, China is quietly setting itself up to be the world leader in alternative energy components manufacturing. While they are doing that, we will keep sending our treasure over to the middle east to protect Haliburton.

I hope that Kool-Aid tastes really good.   The truth is that China plans to reach by 2020 or 2025, a grand total of 5% of its energy useage through alternative energy.   In the meantime, it has categorically stated that it will not become involved in any "cap and trade" nonsense, that it will accept NO limits on its emissions.  Funny, India has done the same.     And if the USA reduced its CO2 output by 100%, it still would not make up for the increase in China's output.  China is increasing its use of dirty coal powerplants faster than it is increasing its useage of all other power sources combined.

The Chinese Solar power industry is heavily subsidized by the People's Republic.    There are some estimates that the dirty industrial practices that are used in China in the manufacture of solar cells there make the product not a green one, but a net brown one.

I know that Algore and the rest of the zero growth leftists want the USA and the Western World to shut down all our industries, just allow the Elite to have cars, and to pay hundreds of billions to a World Government Organization for "Climate Change" payments (welfare) to the thrird world.   But it ain't gonna fly.
