I just wanted to update you on Christopher: He ended his first round of Chemo Christmas day and was home for a few weeks,( his birthday was the during this time and the only thing he wanted to do on his birthday was go watch his older brother play in a high school soccer game) and is now finishing up his second round of chemo. There is a chance he will need a liver transplant. Please continue to keep this little boy in your prayers.

Just a quick update: Christopher (who is now Cool is being put on the liver donor list and will have the operation as soon as possible. Christopher was able to sit on his teams bench during their first weekend of state cup in San Diego, all of his teammates shaved their head to show him their support!Thank you for all of your kind words and continued prayer - miracles do happen!

that's a miracle in and of itself!  Those families on that team had to feel pretty good about that show of support.  Awesome job to all of them.  We'll keep Chris in our thoughts too

Thank you all for your prayers: Here is an update, Christopher's dad was all ready to donate part of his liver when a cadaver liver became available (we mourn for the family of the 17 year old, who made the courageous choice to donate their child's organs - I can't even imagine). Christopher was in surgery for over 6 hours, results so far is there is not any traces of cancer outside the tumor filled liver!! Thank you so much and I ask that you continue to pray for his recovery.

Prayers continue for Chris that this transplant takes hold with no lasting effects and no cancer is found from now on.
Prayers also to the donor family as they mourn the loss of their own child.

Heartbreaking loss for the donor family but a bittersweet comfort knowing another life was saved and a family spared the heartache.  Thoughts go out to the  angel and their family.

Happy to hear that Christopher is doing well and that Dad was spared the major surgery.  This unknown child and his family will continue to be in my thoughts, stay strong little man  Smiley

Thanks for the update and please keep the updates coming

I just thought I would update you on Christopher. He is going home today!!!!! Thank you for all of your prayers. He has three more sessions of chemo to make sure there are not any leftover cancer cells. Christopher received a visit yesterday from two special guests: Sacha Kljestan (from Chivas USA) and Sam Reynolds they spent over an hour with Chris and gave him an autographed National team jersey. How cool was that......

I couldn't have said it better Crazy!  At times when we people are whining about SU or ECFC or RCL's or who's team got screwed by a call, this beautiful story about little Christopher puts it all in perspective. Life and health are soooooo much greater that the rest if this stuff. Enjoy your children playing this unbelievable game of soccer. It goes by so fast!!!

Huskyfan, thank you for sharing your story and ALLOWING the rest of us to be involved by praying. I can picture his 60 minutes with Sacha and Sam. Continued prayers!

This is such good news. My heart is breaking for the family of the 17 year old but I hope that they find comfort knowing that there is a little boy who will grow up with his family because of their sacrifice. I hate it that kids have to get sick! Here are my prayers that Christopher will heal and be up and running around like every little boy should be!
