EverRush. You can have a battery operated bunny with cymbals as your mascot.

Interesting that it isn't co-signed by both boards. Who lost their jobs and who is keeping their jobs? wonder if they will announce that or have new elections?

Interesting that it isn't co-signed by both boards. Who lost their jobs and who is keeping their jobs? wonder if they will announce that or have new elections Not co-signed since Rush sent to Rush families and Evergreen sent info to Evergreen families. Here's FAQ answer to your question: There is currently a Transition Team in place that is composed of five members from each club. This team’s mission is to accomplish the tasks necessary to unify the two clubs. There will be a Board of Directors in place for governance of the combined club. The officers that will compose this board of directors will be elected at the club’s Annual General Meeting to be held following tryouts. The structure on the coaching side will include a technical director and staff. Also: The only thing that seemed to be different at the meeting than the posted FAQ was where teams would practice. I had initially heard that A and some B teams would be at Kasch, and the rest up north and that practice location would be posted before try-outs. But at the meeting it seemed like they said that the team would practice depending on where the majority of the team members lived. So you may not know when you try-out where you would practice.

Wow that sounds like it could be a big problem given the large geographic area that it covers. I'll bet some parents bristled when they heard that. Did they announce any coaches?

Yea, I'm not sure that is the best way to get a lot of kids at the tryouts for at least this club. However it might get a lot of kids out for tryouts for Tynecastle, NWN and Snohomish. It will be interesting to see what happens over the next couple of months, but it would be very helpful to know coaches and training locations sooner than later. I know I'm dreaming on that one....lol

It this what was meant when someone asked about the North and South teams?

Sounds like they want a Marysville team, a further north team, an Everett team - that's not much of a merger. Are they shooting themselves in the foot?

Why not make 3 B or C teams as long as there is also a club wide A team? Or at the younger levels, there really is no need for an A team, focus on development and kids having fun.

Sorry, EW - I used to think that too, but development has taken a backseat to winning. I've heard coaches ridicule even the youngest of teams and tell parents the coaches "had to win". Not once was developing skills on and off the ball mentioned. Maybe these we isolated incidents, but in watching the game and observing parents and coaches, I don't think so.

This was brought up at the meeting, there will be only 1 'Nike' team at each age group but there may be several 'Swoosh' and 'Classic' teams (Rush terminology for A, B, C). So you could have a North practicing Swoosh team and a South practicing Swoosh team.

Most teams will know where they are training before tryouts or at tryouts. I think this was mentioned in the FAQ. Club name is Washington Rush. If Club has the ability to make multiple Swoosh and Classic teams, they will and geographically locate them. However, there will be just one Nike Team for each age group. Meeting emphasized that they want to be able to provide a spot for all players who want to play for Rush. So if that means that there are more than one Swoosh or Classic teams, then that is what will happen. Will have to wait and see how tryouts go. Very exciting stuff going on with Rush organization, which DOES affect all the Rush Clubs...for players and for coaches. Rush has their own player loan program, their own "Academy" team, their 92/93 National Team will be headed to Europe to compete...lots of scouts will be there from European Pro Clubs and let's not forget the new international clubs in Africa. They have their National Select Teams competing in AZ this weekend, two players from the 95s from the WA Rush are part of those National Teams. Opportunities for players and coaches are endless!!

When do club's usually post the coahing assignments, wondering about next years BU-16 team? I haven't hear to many positive things about the current coach over the last few years. It sounds like there will be great opportunities for kids now that Evergreen is a part of a National Club (Washington Rush). We're very happy with the coach our DK has now but......

And the percentage of Washington Rush players to take part in these things this past season was.... Now this answer would be your program selling point, if the number were high. So how many Washington Rush players got the chance to actually do these things in 2009? If this number is shared (I know of two players); the next number would be how many players are there in the Washington Rush program - will ALL those players have a shot at these special programs that the club keeps pushing? Maybe the coming season will offer more for the Washington players? When do club's usually post the coahing assignments, wondering about next years BU-16 team? For this age group, go to Tynecastle!

For this age group, go to Tynecastle! How did this age group do in league last year? Who is the coach? here is the link to the bracket in which they played in: http://sda.bonzidev.com/sam/standings/schedule.php?containerID=MjAyMDY=7 wins,(+27 goal differential) 5 Draws. 0 losses Coached by Hoggy and Allen I do have to agree with Flicks, Tynecastle is a better club for this age group.

Is tynecastle in any of the State Cups, and do you have a schedule?

Oh my, you are really close to drinking the koolaid. I heard from a parent that the Head Colo. Rush dude was there and this is where all this stuff came from - even down to saying that they hope to get a national sponsor to put on the front of their own jerseys and all Rush clubs will wear them (gee sound familiar??P) He also talked about returning from France. How much from each club has to pay to fly him to France? Evergreen has two tuff teams at the current U15 age group. Looking at next weekend's matchups I see that in the State Cup '94 Rush has to play Evergreen A in the elimination game. Guess we'll see.

*lol* Of course the standings arent right - Complaining to get into that spot is not the same as actually playing soccer to get there - the Rush way should tell you that! *lol* Send a PM if you want to know more. A prequel of sorts to their upcoming tryouts maybe? Good pics Thank you!
