Today I discovered that yesterday the Seattle City Council voted for a boycott of Arizona.   Reminds me of when they wanted Seattle to be declared a nuclear free zone and when they voted in favor of tearing out the dans.
Err, how is the viaduct replacement coming along?   How about those problems with panhandlers and vagrants?   How is the city budget, oh council members?
Ever do anything about the Locks, City of Seattle?
The way that the Seattlites allow their tax dollars to be abused and wasted for political granstanding is amazing.    Or is the City Council so terribly bad that you guys would rather they were wasting their time and a bit of your money doing silly things like this rather than passing new laws and making up new expensive programs?  Is that it?  Let them make clowns of themselves and the citizenry because if they actually went to work, things would be much worse?

We recently moved from King County to Pierce County.   City to City.  Property taxes dropped by 30% as messuired by $ tax/$1000.  As far as I can see we have the same or better survices.

Fun fact: It is an Arizona based company that has the contract with Seattle area to install and maintain all of the red light cameras.
Does that mean we can boycott (not pay) our red light tickets?

...not really, the boycott only effects new contracts or amendments. How convenient.

But you may want to look up the RCW's written on the ticket to make sure. A 'photo cop' in Tacoma has an RCW pertaining to being in a school district and NO SCHOOL is nearby!

The latest on the attempt by Arizona to enforce the laws on illegal aliens is that the US Government has threatened to refuse to accept or handle detained illegal aliens from Arizona.

That figures.
Arizona cannot hold them indefinitely, it cannot deport them out of the country, so this is the Obama plan to negate the law.
here is a suggestion.   Arizona should deport them to SAN FRANCISCO.  And to SEATTLE.  And to LOS ANGELES and every other city that has come out against Arizona.    Fine the illegals, and then put them on a plane with a one way ticket.     Let's see how long those cities continue to mouth off!

Gitmo?   I could have sworn that was closed months ago.   The Prez said that it would be closed within one year of his taking office, and that date many moons ago........
Wasn't there a big photo-op with the Prez grinning as he signed an exec dictat ordering Gitmo out of business?
