OK, Lefty called it.  That-Thug-Marquez has been released by Barcelona and has signed with Red Bulls.   He will bring his own brand of mayhem to the MLS.   Perhaps the league is seriously going after Hockey fans?

Reportedly, the MLS has put a price of $16 million on Donovan.  Oh, and the Man City being "interested" in Donovan is alot of bunk.

Now that Barcelona has gotten rid of its deadwood, and cashed out on Toure and Chygrinsky, they are looking light in terms of being able to clog up the center.  Centerback could also end up being a sore spot for them.     They won't win the champions league unless they can find a "stopper".

I guess that what the Sounders got for Slow Freddy pretty much shows what everyone else thought of him.   A conditional draft pick in a year or two.    Yikes, couldn't we have gotten at least an ice maker?   A case of beer?   Or - like that Romanian deal last year - a side of beef?

Back in the day the old Seattle Breakers Hockey Club traded a player for a team bus.

No kidding.

Freddie should be embarrassed by the fact no one wanted him.

What are the odds on Marquez getting a red card in his first game?
