I like Lake Wenatchee. Cold beer and even colder water.

This year it's some campground on the Oregon coast near Newport. Leaving after KOTH this Sunday.  Cool

Barcelona, Spain.
Culture, nightlife, shopping, beaches, San Miguel, and some great museums.

Maybe I'll take the family back there next summer, show them the old stomping grounds.......

So BJr...can I only pick one place??

FF97,

I'll say hi to Wenatchee next week for ya...when you go to Newport and cross the bridge to the south side, drive around on the east area (I think there was a school there or ??) and see if there is a house still hanging on the edge of the cliff.  Last time there they were moving stuff out of it. And if you like oysters, there is a nice oyster shop up the north side of the bay as I remember.... drinks

These are two of my favorite pasttimes -- walking and motor biking.  I go a little on the extreme though.  Check this link out.....Smiley  Remember to click on the motorcycle ride on the bottom.

My favorite vacation spot has to be The Great Exuma Island, Georgetown, Bahamas.

The sand is powder white...the water is a so clear-- cobalt blue ( you can see 50 feet down no problem)...with plenty of spots to snorkle (you feel like you are swimming in someone's aquarium!)...lay out by the pool or beach...golf...

...and let's not forget the seafood buffets, and the Bahama Mama boat cruises!!  drinks

(you feel like you are swimming in someone's aquarium!)...

For some reason that struck me as really funny.  I imagine the neighbor would be pretty pissed if they came home and caught someone in their aquarium.  Hey!  What the heck are you doing in there!!!

I don't like going to the same place once I have been there. But, I love the Redwoods in California.  We love to camp and that area was one of the best I have been to.

Let's see...I found a nice campsite once near the continental divide in Montana...woke up to mountain ranges, clear smooth lake, waterfalls...stayed 3 nights there.  Have a special place up towards White Pass that is especially relaxing and nice on the rivers edge.  Grand Teton and more are on the schedule for 2011 so I may find something in Wyoming that strikes my liking too.

Ocean camping...best I have stayed in is Nehalam (sp?) Beach in Oregon, camp next to the dunes, hear the crash of the waves and less then a 5 minute walk you are in the surf!

Agreed TWD-

Nehalem Bay, OR is a great place to bike, swim, walk on the beach, fish off the breaker, etc
They have nice sized sites, and plenty of cover if it gets really hot!

Seaside, OR has a great camping site also...with Freddie's down the road in case you forget something...(which means I go there every trip!  Cheesy)

love that area also, but the camping part w/the bugs, the dirt, the hard ground ? No thanks, BUT, there is a beautiful old-world hotel called the Benbow Inn. See the redwoods, enjoy nature, eat and drink in the restaurant, sleep in a soft bed.

Orcas Island. Once you drive off the ferry, clocks cease to work as you're on 'island time' (aka; no time). My family has a beautiful cedar home overlooking east sound. Sit on the deck, eat fresh seafood, drink cold margaritas, catch up on your reading, rest. LOVELY.
