First time lodging approach for most of the team. We are staying in the Western Washington dormatories. Never thought of that as an option. Anyone else look for dormatories for travel stay in Summer. Basically $30 a room a night, but have to bring more stuff (towels, sleeping bags, etc.).

We stayed in the dorms last year. It's an experience!!! I forgot how loud dorm rooms can be. For the price and the experience it can't be beat. Western is a lot prettier campus than I remembered. The dorms are exactly as I remembered.

Best tournament in the state, IMHO. End of the summer, always the best teams, with Canucks mixed in. You win this tourney, you have a team to be reckoned with.

I agree with you swingin'. The fields were a little lumpy, but most grass fields seems to be that way. It would be nice if all the matches were played on some pristine field somewhere, but good tournament especially when you take into consideration the teams playing.

BU15 Premier looks like an interesting group. Shadow and RC are definitely the best two BU15 teams from D6. Hope the weekend is a good one for everyone.

I think all brackets are relatively consistent. Looks to me like they seed teams, with the first one listed is number 1 for that particular bracket, next is a 2, and so on. I bet when the weekends over, you'll see for the most part, they're pretty close, with most of the first teams listed moving on to the semis. After that, who knows.

Great day for soccer, A bit windy but no rain. Fields looked great but real SLOW and it took the boys a while to get used to it.
Anyone get caught in the I-5 closure northbound in Marysville around noon? We were sweating it out for a while wondering if we were going to have enough boys to play.

Once again, kudo's to Whatcom and the PCC staff. Looking at the semi's, they're pretty much spot on in their bracketing picks. Looking at the priemer divisions, 16 of the number 1 listed teams moved on, 11 number 2's, 2 number 3's, and 3 number 4's. They take the time to get it right. Teams entered are listed early, schedules are out early, and so on. Again, it's why I think this is the best tournament in the state year after year. Hats off to the PCC staff. My 2 cents.

Congrats to Snohomish United boys taking the U-14 Premier Championship!
Yes it is a great tournament. No problems, even parking seemed easier to find this year.

my only complaint about this tourney is how slow they are to post scores online. We were told to go look at the board instead of online. All that really matters is we played some great teams and my kiddo had a blast. I agree with how the brackets were seeded. Good job on that!

Our boys played some runs of good soccer on Saturday but couldn't get the points to get into the semis. Lost morning game in last three minues (1-0). Would have won the last game but were pushed up to get more goals. Looking forward to league play where i think we play the champions NWN on the 12th at home in Vancouver.
I will also agree the schedules were late. Main fields were in fairly good condition. High School field was bad. PSO in Vancouver was so much better than the HS which I no a lot on here hate playing at PSO. Overall was a good atmosphere and tournament. Staying in the WWU dorms was an experience. Saved a lot of money.

Two things worked out for us in the dorms. First we didn't share a bathroom with anyone because the room next door was vacant. Secondly the door to the room next door was open so we stole the mattress from that room and double-uped our mattress. Others were complaining about the walls being thin. Lounge downstairs was great for our Saturday night team get together. We brought in Olive Garden and made our own salads. Boys were out of the semis so they went over and played soccer on the WWU turf field till about 11:00 and then went over to the main dorm and the girl manning it let them into the rec room where they played pool and ping pong till about 12:30. Location wasn't too bad. Was about 15 minutes to the fields.
