As far as balls go....... cheap balls are exactly what you call them..CHEAP. They tend to either be harder or stickier or have a strange padding that scuffs and peels off easily.

I would always recommend paying more for a ball unless your kid has no sense of being responsible and loses them all the time, if that's the case then all they deserve is cheap..haha

I have had great luck with top end Nike and adidas balls....but they are more than $45. If i was looking in the $45 range I'd probably look at "select" they make select 10's i believe that tend to last a long time and are decent

Personally though i have always gone to here and just bought them on clearance...... right now you could get $100 puma ball for $50 or you can save a lot of another brand.....basically you save a lot more on last years balls

Happy hunting..... last balls i bought from them were Nike Merlins about a $100 back in the day but I paid $39 a ball and that was 5 years ago and although they don't hold air for more than a few days now, they are still tremendous balls when inflated and they hold air no problem for practices or a game. In fact at training most of the girls i train grab them first..... i would say that says it all.  drinks

I would recommend a Brine triumph...most NCAA Div. 1 2 3 colleges use this design and they last a long time.  They have 3 year guarantee, but its $$$ 95-115.  It would depend on how dedicated she is to the game and how much time she spends practicing at home. If you do buy her a higher priced ball, do not bring it to games or practices...they have a tendency to disappear.

Never liked Brine balls.

best idea - find out what the game ball is that your team uses, and buy that one for your kids personal ball.  Put name and phone number on it.
