Here we are again, for the 6th year in a row we get to nominate, vote on, and select a WPS Player of the Year! This is truely the best part of my job here on WPS! All the kids did a wonderful job this year, and each and everyone of them deserve kudos from us all. Once again the winner was selected on a point system. 1st place votes weighed in most, and the votes from "first time posters" held the least weight... BUT, everyones vote did count. To make it to the Player of the Year in the state as voted on by your peers, parents, coachs, and people who just read about you over the year is a Huge accomplishment!
Dragon is so proud of each and every one of you who were nominated! The top 3 runner's up will also be announced along with the grand prize winner... The WPS 2010 Player of the Year!!!!! 
The winner will receive:
An IPOD Touch from the wonderful Squash who has been so kind to donate this to the past winners out of his own pocket!
They also get a Banner on the Home Page of WPS for the WHOLE YEAR! It will link everyone and all first time readers of WPS to the this article!
They will also get a Dragon Heart & Fire award!
They get a "special POTY Song" written just for this occassion.
And, Best of all they get to know for the rest of their life that they were Recognized on WPS with the now Coveted Player of the Year Award!!!

Without further ado, here are this years Runner's up, and the Player of the Year!!! 3rd Runner Up:LIZ - WASHINGTON PREMIER FC 96 All those goals you have scored this year were awesome! You are obviously a great player and an even better young lady! Congrats on the nomination, Dragon and all of WPS are very proud of you! 2nd Runner Up:ANNA - GREATER RENTON FC RED 96 You are certainly one of the most loved team mates on your team. It is not common for a defender to be recognized as such an awesome player so keep up the great work on the pitch! Dragon and all of us at WPS are very proud of you! 1st Runner Up:CAMERON - WASHINGTON PREMIER FC 99 WHITE What a wonderful young man you sound to be. A phenom on the pitch and a truely awesome young man off it. Continue to live for the game young stud and I am sure we will be reading about you for years to come! You should be very proud of yourself at coming so close to becoming the POTY! Dragon and all of WPS are so very very proud of you Super star! and now, our 2010 Player of the Year!!!
......drumroll........KENDRA - SUN CITY STRIKERS RED 98!!!  WOW! You did it! Player of the Year for all of Washington! Now that is something to be proud of for years to come little superstar! So many people out there have seen you play this past year, and all of them are astounded by the "Lil' Pit Bull". You may be the smallest player on the pitch somedays, but you play like a giant. Rather it is scooting in and out of other players and going to goal for one of your many many goals, or running down a player to strip the ball; You truely stand out little one. Dragon bets all the boys were shocked to get schooled by a girl when you helped your brothers team to the championship at the SF Tournament.... Well you, your team, your coach, and your parents all need to be so proud of you. We all look forward to watching your whole career so we can all say; "Hey, I knew her back when she 1st won POTY!"
Congrats again little superstar, Dragon, Squash, and all of WPS are so very very proud of your accomplishment!
