Is it an advantage for XFire Amy to play at U-11 Having the majority of underage players? Yes, it will give all those girls the chance to play a more aggressive, faster, and a matured style of play, the XFire Porter, Timbers and FC Vancouver are experiencing the same thing.
With U-11 possibly going to 9 a side you will most likely see half of the U-11 teams playing U-12.

National is mandating the change.  I do not think they will let teams play up to get around the 9 a side rule.  Would be interesting to see how this played out in areas that switched this year.  Anyone know of any other states sites?  Go and ask about this and report back.

At one time I would of thought this.  I know one girl who played up 2 years last year and was thinking of playing up one year this year and decided not to.  From what I understand she loves being with her same age group.  There has been and always will be the girl playing up because of grade (like my DD) but this is not the most common reason.  And after hearing how much fun the other little girl is having my DD is even considering playing at age next year.

Lots of CP's were nervous about their dd's playing 11 v 11 and on a full sized field.  Moving from rec where they play with less on smaller fields to bigger ones is a huge change.  Little ones get tired but adapt well.  Soon after they figure out how to play on the bigger fields it is no problem.

If you never played 11 a side on larger field then do you really miss it?  Some of next years U11 might not even know it changed :?

Actually xfire P has more girls playing up than xfire A. The majority of the baby xfire players play at the B-1 level. I believe that the Royals, Crush and Xfire all had baby teams last year that spent a year getting crushed by older teams, now look at them. On my DD's team only eight girls made it from last years team and eight new ones my DD included came from rec. Will nine players make a difference, it is a smaller field. You will have a smaller roster hopefully. More touches or so they believe only time will tell. Has playing up at u-12 helped Xfire P. Sure has made the girls tougher and better defensively.
