Well, I know the UW Bothell is closed due to the flooding of North Creek.  Here in the EV area it is just rainy...the wind that was expected isn't here yet.  I just hope my beach house is without added sun roofs right now.

another great weather forecast by our trained weather people. If I was wrong more than 50% of the time in my job I'd be on the freeway on ramp with a sign.

We had rain, and rain, then it rained. No wind, no snow (hardly), but they were right about 1 thing, it did rain.

Where did the high winds go?
It was windy but it was much worse last month.

The Oregon coast did have 100mph winds.  Did it stop there?

Uh oh! Sounds like a divorce in the making to me!
In our old house, the pumps came on every November and didn't really turn off until May. Luckily this was just to keep the water from under the house so it didn't seep up the walls. I feel for you OA

the coast got the brunt of it, I guess the wind turned north from there. We had some mild wind gusts, but barely. Did I say it rained ? It did rain, a bit.

On Whidbey we had wind gusts of 45 mph and rain.  Temp was 57 last night about 9:00 p.m. when I picked up my daughter from HS BBall.  Hard to flood an island, but we always worry about the water plant in Anacortes on the Skagit getting flooded, that's where our drinking water comes from.

I thought it was bad when it took me 45 mins to get to work then the two hour, will ok 1 hour and 40 min drive home was scarey. Good thing my car can make it through the lightly flooded areas. cause otherwise I would have been sleeping on the gymn flooor all night. yuck!

Wind picked up but wasnt to bad last night. gusty though, at times.
I drive through that flooded woodinville intersection all the time, wow that was some picture  of  the waterflall of water there.

that is the most water I have seen in a long long long time.

soggy taxi

State patrol is stating that the only way from Olympia to Chehalis is Via Ellensberg, south to Yakima, Over to Portland and up or over White Pass .  Ken 507 would have to go into the low area south of Bucoda and into Centralia.  I do not know for sure but would be very shocked if this area is not under water.

I didn't see any water when I looked in my atlas, but it's a few years old.

I had a work associate heading home to Vancouver after a meeting with me yesterday.  Was worried as two state patrol were following him for a period of time.  All of a sudden the lights came on and he couldn't understand why...the state patrol slowed down and he kept going.  There were also state patrol on the on-ramp blocking traffic.  He was the last one to get through yesterday on I-5

Only about 15 miles south of me.  I will go try it in the mornng and see if the "Bucoda Highway" is open and report back.

Boy i bet this is doing wonders for Horizons Shuttle Express service.

well, it will be a lot better tomorrow.  I'm in centralia at work now and had to have a police escort to allow me to drive on i 5 coming from oly ( had it all to myself) but it was fine to centralia and I heard they would open up oly to centralia by tomorrow morning,.  It is still a mess between centralia and chehalis and even the back roads are flooded.  all should be better by saturday morning.  others at work had to come in by helicopter.  they got picked up at the chehalis high school and brought over to the hospital.  everyone who was at work monday had to stay and many are still here and will be until morning but  some got out tonight. Everyone's been fantastic. Awesome help from the national guard.  these folks have been great.

awesome post and glad to hear that overall our state was all over this flooding. Sounds like you work at a hospital? Nice to know that all of you are finding ways to work in order to help those in need.
