HPFC Eagles '96 Red player Autumn F. was diagnosed with leukemia this week, and is now at Children's Hospital. Her mother was the team manager:

At this time I would be pleased and grateful for all the prayers and support.  . . . .  Thank you so much for thinking and praying for Autumn, her family  and the medical team supporting her in this.

Blessings, Erinn

Please hold Autumn in your thoughts and prayers as she undergoes treatment.

Thank you.

I'm so sorry. This is two girls in our soccer family now that have recently been diagnosed with leukemia (WPFC goalie also). It just hurts so much to see these kids have to struggle. All our prayers are with her and her family.

Thank God for the advances in medicine these days.  Childrens Hospital is a wonderful place to be treated. Our family has personal experience with the hospital and leukemia.

Our prayers are with both girls and their families. Stay strong and keep the faith!!

Childrens is a great place, what a blessing to live where we do. Our daughter is a 96 er as well. We can relate to what you are experiencing, we spent about a year there for treatment of Stage IV advanced Neuroblastoma. The prognosis was very grim for our DD, but that hospital in conjunction with The UW and The Hutch came up with a protocol that our dd just celebrated 7 years in remission. Keep the faith, and keep things as happy and positive as you can, for I believe all of those things combined is what helped our daughter to come through on the good side of this terrible disease. Prayers be with you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A friend of the family has started a website through caringbridge a non profit organization that helps let you keep up on how she is doing, and you can also leave her wishes by signing her geust book I believe.  A close friend will be updating her progress through the website. THANKS for the link!

Continued prayers for Autumn that she eats what she can and starts to get better! I can understand the taste part of not eating. When it tastes like metal, meds or nothing at all, its not appetizing.

I love reading that they are finding dead cells in her bloodwork.  I hope they find NO cells soon.

I subscribed to the blog that Autumn has, to keep up with how she is doing and a reminder to keep her in my good thoughts and prayers

This was from yesterday
Quote
I wanted to make you aware of a prayer request on Autumn’s behalf.

Over the last few days Autumn’s blood work has been growing weaker. During the night last night the doctors decided that she was going to need a transfusion.
After getting the proper blood products for her, they began the transfusion this morning. Unfortunately Autumn began having a negative respiratory reaction to the blood almost immediately. They stopped the transfusion and allowed her to rest for awhile and then tried again. She reacted again.

At this point in time they are giving Autumn a four-hour dose of benadryl and steroids in order to try to get her body to settle down so that it will accept the blood products.

Please pray for the success of this next transfusion attempt.

Feel better soon Autumn!

We recently followed a distant relative's illness through the Caringbridge website - you can even opt to have an email sent to you when there is new information posted.  It is a great way to know how to pray specifically for someone's needs and to keep right up to date.  The service this website provides is wonderful!

Our family will be praying for Autumn and her family.
